I had the luckiest day... we dropped Kane off at my aunt's house then went shopping on a budget...
We went to a steak house where we got soup and salad and bread all you can eat... but they wouldn't take my card... it was declined... even though my entire paycheck was in that account... and Derrick's card wouldn't work either... so I went to the atm right outside and it spat cash out with no problem, so I figure it is their machine... on too Best Buy where I found the CD I had been wanting... it's an older CD of a not so mainstream band that I figured I would have to special order, but no there it was...
Then on to the used bookstore where I find 2 books, one that I wanted to read but couldn't find on sale cheaply and didn't want to pay full cover price for, and another that rounded out the series I collected as a kid that is now out of print and only available from the publisher... overseas... for like 20 bucks plus shipping...
and then there was yarn... but not much...
and I only spent about 20 bucks on all of it... I was so excited... and not to mention how nice it was to actually get out with Derrick without Kane in tow for once... since we both work weekends, and use our free babysitters (parents, etc) so we can work, we haven't had one to just go out in forever... yay lovely day!!
