Had a blast at the beach! We stayed in a rented house in a little place on the NC Outer Banks called Salvo! We had a blast! It rained on us A LOT and flooded our little neighborhood so we headed to the Aquarium for the day. The kids loved it! That's Kane with his cousin Logan. We took a ferry to the Ocracoke Island and headed to the lighthouse...what a cute place it was! The sun came out eventually so we decided to HIKE to the beach! But the waves were so rough we didn't stay out long... Since our house had a private pool, we spent most of our time there!
Fat Pappy thought it would be funny to tell Kane to go pee on the fence...you should watch what you tell a 4 year old to do...

Me and Derrick headed out to this cute little restaurant called Kaia's Kitchen...we thought it was so cool that there was a place with the name we had chosen for our future daughter! The food was great too!
It was so much fun staying with everyone!
We spent one day checking out the Wright Brother's Memorial...it was chilly and windy though...
We also spent an afternoon playing at the Elizabethan site... still cold and rainy...don't I look thrilled! They had a neat hands on museum that Derrick and Kane had fun playing in...
Being about 6 1/2 months pregnant, I, of course, bought fudge at every shop...
And for our last day on the beach...still rough and windy!

Derrick refuses to go to the beach without Mini Golf!

Sadly good things must end...

But before we left town we headed to see the Hatteras Lighthouse

and to lunch at Big Al's.
